Arlington Education Association PAC Endorses Goldstein for School Board
ARLINGTON – The Arlington Education Association Political Action Committee (AEA PAC), an organization of Arlington Public Schools employees, has endorsed Reid Goldstein for Arlington School Board, adding its name to the growing list of Goldstein supporters.
The AEA PAC selected Goldstein after reviewing his answers to a questionnaire on a range of school issues, and interviewing him in person. An affiliate of the Virginia Education Association (VEA), the AEA PAC advocates for, and represents teachers, assistants, bus drivers, secretaries, custodians, and other educational support personnel. With the endorsement, the AEA PAC joins many other current and former education leaders, including Arlington School Board member Nancy Van Doren, Arlington County Board Chair and former School Board member Mary Hughes Hynes, and former School Board Member Ed Fendley.
Goldstein has also been endorsed by State Senator Adam Ebbin, State Delegate Alfonso Lopez, Arlington County Board member Jay Fisette, former State Senator Mary Margaret Whipple, former Arlington County Board member Chris Zimmerman, former County Board member and APAH founder Joe Wholey, longtime school advocate Ann Felker, and longtime Arlington County Democratic committee members Alan and Pam Howze.
